Why "www.dogfriendlyaustralia.com.au"

Since relocating from the UK in 2010 with 2 Huskies, we quickly realised how time consuming it can be to plan a holiday or a road trip away with pets. I could easily spend a week worth of researching places to visit, see and stay that were pet friendly.

The internet seemed to have a lot of information but often had conflicting information EG - some State Parks permit pets, some State Forests did not permit camping, Some beaches permit dogs off-leash whereas others had timeshare agreements, permitted dogs only on a leash OR in some cases not at all.

We then decided on a camping trip in 2011 that we should work towards building a "onestop" website for dog owners that has all of this information in one resource, pack up and travel Australia with the 2 dogs to document these places.

Well, www.dogfriendlyaustralia.com.au is not that site! This is the blog site designed to document the travels around Australia as we hit the road in 2017 for family, friends and fellow pet owners to follow us on our journey.
