Coolum Beach Holiday Park Review
At the time of exploring the Sunshine Coast and Noosa Shire beaches, we stayed for a few nights at one of the two dog friendly caravan parks that we could find that was located right next to the beach and on the Sunshine Coast.
This caravan park was the most expensive caravan park that we have stayed at so far at a price of $47 per night for a powered site. However, the price was probably reflective to the cleanliness of the park, the facilities they offered and the fact that it backs right onto the beach front.
The park itself was one of the larger caravan park's that we had stayed at so far with very spacious plots, numerous ablution blocks, electric BBQ's and free WiFi. There was apparently a tractor service to help the bigger vans park if required.
The highlight of the park for us was the close proximity and access to Coolum Beach. The beach has a designated on-leash section which heads south. The off leash section stretches north of the caravan park towards Stumers Creek. This made walking the dogs at day and night a pleasure due to the vastness of the beach.
The location of the Caravan Park was close to all the amenities that you can think of: - supermarket, garage, cafe's, restaurants, pubs and a liquor shop :). It is situated approximately 20-30 minute drive to Noosa Heads, 25-30 mins drive to the south part of the Sunshine Coast (Mooloolabah) and relatively close to Australia Zoo and the Glass House Mountains region (45 mins).
Overall we enjoyed the stay here but at $47 per night, we would be reluctant to return for a longer period of time. Having said that, there aren't too many option's on the Sunshine Coast to choose from unless you are willing to drive to the beach front. We would rate this place 4/5 stars.
